Rebain International Welcomes Gerardo Victal

gerardo

Rebain International is pleased to welcome Gerardo Victal as Sales Manager Mexico, bringing more than 35 years of experience in the global chemical industry.

A Mexican chemical engineer with postgraduate studies in Organic Chemistry, Gerardo began his career at Celanese, first in the technical group and later in the commercial division. Over the years, he held key roles in Key Account Management in Mexico, Supply Chain Coordination for the Americas and the Far East within Celanese’s largest division (Acetyls), and later served as Commercial Director for Latin America while based in São Paulo, Brazil.

Following the Oxea spin-off, Gerardo continued as Latin America Sales Director, leading regional operations and strengthening Oxea’s commercial presence. He later managed several major chemical distribution companies across Latin America, including Quimica Delta, where he led the bulk vessel cargo project that achieved exceptional growth prior to the company’s acquisition by Brenntag. He also held leadership positions at Bandeirante Brazmo, TZ Group, and worked with global specialty chemical producers such as Croda and Allnex, where he most recently served as Marketing and New Business Development Director for Latin America.

With deep expertise in chemical distribution, supply chain management, and specialty products, Gerardo brings a wide professional network across Latin America, the United States, Brazil, and Asia.

“Trading activity in the chemical industry continues to grow in Latin America as manufacturing expands through nearshoring. Mexico’s strong industrial base, infrastructure projects, and evolving logistics environment make this market an exciting opportunity — and I’m eager to serve our partners alongside a dynamic, experienced team like Rebain,” Gerardo shared.

Gerardo’s appointment reinforces Rebain International’s long-term commitment to strengthening its footprint in Mexico and Latin America, supporting sustainable growth and trusted partnerships in the chemical distribution sector.
