About Rebain International
Rebain International is a leading global trading company, specialising in chemical distribution and industrial materials. As part of our expansion into sustainable and circular material solutions, we are launching our Next Materials division to offer environmentally conscious alternatives in the European and global markets.
To support this exciting initiative, we are looking for a motivated intern to join our team in Rotterdam. This internship will provide hands-on experience in building a new division within an established international trading company.
Position Overview
As an intern with Next Materials, you will support the launch and development of the division. Your responsibilities will include conducting market research, identifying suppliers and customers, and assisting with business registration and compliance processes.
This role is ideal for students in Business, International Trade, Economics, Supply Chain, or Sustainability, who are looking for practical experience in a dynamic, growing sector.
Key Responsibilities

Market Investigation:
Research European and international markets for new material streams, analyze supply and demand trends, and identify competitors. -
Supplier & Customer Mapping:
Build and maintain structured databases of potential suppliers and customers, assist with initial outreach (presentations, email templates, etc.), and keep CRM and contact lists updated. -
Business Registration & Institutional Setup:
Assist with registering the division with Dutch and EU institutions, research regulatory requirements (waste permits, recycling certifications, trade compliance), and support documentation for Chamber of Commerce updates.
What We’re Looking For

Currently enrolled in HBO or WO studies (Business, International Trade, Economics, Supply Chain, Sustainability, or similar)

Strong analytical and research skills

Structured and detail-oriented with a proactive mindset

Fluent in English and Dutch

Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of tasks

An interest in sustainability, circular economy, and international trade
