Butyl Glycol Acetate (BGA) or 2-Butoxyethyl Acetate, is an organic compound with formula C8H16O3. It is a clear, colourless liquid with a typical odor and sparingly soluble in water. Butyl Glycol Acetate can be used in a wide range of industries. The most common application is in the paint, coating and ink industry, where it will be used to improve the gloss and fluidity of coatings.
